When I first arrived in London, I did not think that I would be able to cope with English too well. The kind of English gents spoke in London was totally different from what we had learned in school in Poland, and when I first started to date for Eve escorts, I was really confused. Sure, I could manage the basics but like other Polish London escorts, I was really confused about some of the local expressions that London gents came up with.
What is a greasy spoon? Of course, being fresh off the bus at Victoria coach station, does not give you an immediate insight into English culture. When I started to date for London escorts a couple of days later, I did not know what some of the guys were saying to me. One guy talked about just having come from his favorite greasy spoon. I did not have a clue what it meant, so after the date, I sent a text to one of my Polish London escorts friends. Apparently it is a way of saying that you have just come from your favorite cafe which may serve things like English Breakfast.
Now English Breakfast was another thing that got to me. I went out on this rather late night party date with a gent from London escorts. By the time the party was over, it was about five in the morning, and he asked me if I wanted breakfast. I was not working for London escorts the next day, so I was happy to go for breakfast. When the breakfast arrived, I could not believe my eyes. There was no way that I would be able to eat all of that. I don’t even eat t hat much in a day!
And why do gents drink pints and ladies drink halves? I did not get that neither. All London escorts are asked for drinks a lot, and when I asked for a pint, the guy looked at me in terror. No, he said, ladies don’t drink pints. Looking around the pub, I noticed that most ladies were drinking out of much smaller glasses or having cocktails. Yet another thing I had learned from working at London escorts. It was all a bit weird to me.
What do I like about English culture? I like that all English people are very friendly and happy to help. Getting hang of the oyster card system and generally going everywhere by underground train was also a bit strange. Now that I am used to it, I have come to appreciate how easy it is to move around London, but I do feel that there are a lot of people around still. I like living in London, but there days when I miss Poland. Would I go back? I am not sure, working for London escorts is great, and I don’t think that I would get a job that pays so well back in Poland. But living in London, is a real eye opener.
